Non-destructive measurement via Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Artificial Neural Network


"NIRS is used for non-invasive and non-destructive measurement. Near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) instruments are usually versatile for applying different type of fruit samples. NIR is a rapid, precise, and non-destructive technique which can be well utilized in determination of fruit quality. The collected spectral information from NIRS will tends to be easy analyzed with chemometric technique via 
computers. NIRS contains more information of the internal quality of fruits; while instead, other analysis methods like chemical analysis often get one quality attribute at one time...."


This is a literature review of my final year project 2010, which consists of the reviews of non-destructive on fruit internal quality measurement via a combination of Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Artificial Neural Network.
