World Cup T20: India beat South Africa by 14 runs

Chasing a target of 187 runs, set by India, South Africa fell 14 runs short and lost the match in the Group C match of the World Twenty20 at the Beausejor Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Sunday.
Raina's score is just the third century made in a Twenty20 international and included nine fours and five sixes as he peppered the ball around the field showing superb timing and placement.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a big slice of luck in the fifth over though when he was caught off a no-ball from Albie Morkel.
Yuvraj Singh's 37 contributed to a key 88-run partnership with Raina who brought up his ton with a massive six over midwicket in the final over before he was caught off the next ball from Morkel.
Earlier South Africa captain Graeme Smith won the toss and elected to field.
India made two changes from the side that beat Afghanistan by seven wickets here on Saturday.

Opening batsman Gautam Gambhir was ruled out with stomach illness and his place was taken by Dinesh Karthik.
And, in a tactical switch, leg-spinner Piyush Chawla replaced fast bowler Zaheer Khan.
This was South Africa's first match of the tournament and the Proteas opted to use the big-hitting Loots Bosman as captain Graeme Smith's partner at the top of the order.

India: Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt/wkt), Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla, Ashish Nehra
South Africa: Graeme Smith, Loots Bosman, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Mark Boucher (wkt), Albie Morkel, Roelof van der Merwe, Morne Morkel, Rory Kleinveldt, Dale Steyn

BCCI reserve price for the bidding of Team Indias jersey logo sponsorship in Crores

How much Twenty20 is popular and Money maker for BCCI can be guessed by this article printed in todays Times Of India (Delhi). The Day is not far when BCCI's wealth can be compared to Some wealthy Footbal clubs in the world. And why not if the craze for cricket is among 1,00,00,00,000 Indian alone much more than whole Footbal Fans in the world, if i'm not wrong...please dont mind if i've over-estimated. But Really Saying this is called Money Making...

Team India Rocks... Jai Ho

Article as In Today's TIMES OF INDIA (Delhi):

by: Indranil Basu | TNN [TOI]

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has put Twenty20 on a par with ODIs and Tests while setting the reserve price for the bidding of Team Indias jersey logo sponsorship. Sources said the board is asking for a minimum bid of Rs 3 crore for each Test, ODI or T20 game, showing the growing commercial value of T20 matches. http://hallosushant.blogspot.com/

Four years ago, the base price was Rs 90 lakh for an ODI match and Rs 1 crore for a Test. T20 didnt even have a market. But in the last two and-a-half years, the valuation of logo sponsorship in a T20 game has caught up with those of Tests and ODIs.

The hike in reserve price could put bidders in a tizzy. It has already put present sponsor Sahara in two minds.

Asking Rate

BCCI seeking Rs 3 crore for each Test, ODI and T20 match Four years ago, the base price was Rs 90 lakh for an ODI and Rs 1 crore for a Test At Rs 800cr, deal could be worth more than Manchester Uniteds Rs 650cr deal for 4 yrs.  http://hallosushant.blogspot.com/
